Because Sphinx CardMaker is pre-configured, it is ready immediately after installation, requiring only the specification of three server settings before use. Depending on the installation, some adminstrators may want to install the Sphinx CardMaker software, then simply let the system run on its own. Other administrators may choose to use the Sphinx CardMaker software frequently, to specify security policies, create user profiles, manage logon entries, and issue cards.
